Hi, I'm Angela Evangeline Kwan, more affectionately known as gel and lala. I was born on 27th February 1991. My hobbies include playing the piano, singing, songwriting, baking and shopping. My dream? To start a family, be a loving and understanding wife, an inspiring and authoritative mother, a filial and obedient daughter. Oh, and perhaps to sing the songs that I've written or maybe start some bakery cafe.

The ideal, non-existent male homo sapien ☆ 2012/01/21 Double post today. Cindy and I were randomly chatting over the characteristics we can't stand in a guy. We've got some points in common =p Hence, I'll just list out the characteristics of an ideal, non-existent male homo sapien.I've identified a few main points which are essential: 1. Aesthetics He need no undergo aesthetic operations to achieve a particular look. However, I feel that dressing and etiquette are of importance to me. T-shirt, shorts/berms and slippers are reserved for three "occasions" - the beach, wet market and camps. Jeans are ideal but sadly, the warm and humid weather deters guys from wearing these. 2. Social-cultural I feel that he should not be socially-challenged. Not in the aspect that he doesn't talk much but more of his behaviour. He should be able to behave according to context, like sit still when he has to, don't keep shaking legs when sitting or flinging arms while walking. Need to understand social cues - I'm not going to be so explicit. Culturally, I'm not your typical local girl-next-door. I'm slightly influenced by japanese culture so please understand that. 3. Linguistics It's a major no-no if he utters consistent grammatically incorrect sentence. It makes me irritated and want to correct all his grammatical errors! "Anot" is not an English word, it should be "Or not". Use singular and plural verbs accordingly and not jumble them up. No singlish in most sentences. "sia" just makes one sound unrefined, I believe. Of course, no colourful language either. As you can see, my ideal is a refined gentleman. 4. Financial Financial stability is important as well, especially if we decide to have a fmaily of our own. I would most definitely like to send my kids through education, all the way till university at the very least. People with poor financial management also irritates me, especially if they do not know how to save. Splurging is ok, it's just that one must learn to save for a rainy day too. 5. Punctuality I have lots of pet peeves and tardiness is one of them. I like it when people are punctual or at least have the decency to inform others if they're late or unable to make it. Rare cases of emergency're acceptable. Yups, that's about it. I still think linguistics, social-cultural and financial are important to me. Linguistics and social-cultural probably tie at the first place.
