Angela Evangeline Kwan

Hi, I'm Angela Evangeline Kwan, more affectionately known as gel and lala. I was born on 27th February 1991. My hobbies include playing the piano, singing, songwriting, baking and shopping. My dream? To start a family, be a loving and understanding wife, an inspiring and authoritative mother, a filial and obedient daughter. Oh, and perhaps to sing the songs that I've written or maybe start some bakery cafe.

I love christmas shopping! ☆ 2011/12/22

The past few days had been as follows:

Monday:
Went out with Chua! Haven't met her in ages. I guess the last time I saw her was when she was at TNPNF contest =) Had Ajisen Ramen for lunch and walked ard Clementi Mall. It's great catching up with her and all =) Glad that everything's going smoothly for her and I guess it's gonna be a pretty major transition for her now that she's graduated from high school. On with uni and she's not too sure of what to do and such. I had those moments too but I'm more of the ok-I'll-just-try-this type =p Bought two tins of after dinner games =) Hehe~ Those will be part of my christmas presents from my aunts =) I bought some hair dye too~ Chua helped to pick a color =) Guess I'll dye my hair soon. It's french chocolate but I'm not sure what the outcome will be. It's not a very vibrant color cos I prefer more subtle ones.

Tues:
Went out with Theodore to fix his sister's bracelet. While we were at vivo, he also pciked our christmas gifts for his mom and sister~ Then we headed onto Logos Hope (the ship with book sales that travels round the world and docks at vivo annually). Quite interesting. They were selling some McGraw Hill textbooks (saw some human anatomy ones which I presume are for Medicine) at 3 for $20 =) There were other books too, like recipe books, children novels, fictions and such. After which, we had tea at Fruits Paradise. He gave me his textbook which I'ld need for next sem's mod so treated him to tea (but I felt it's not enough..)

Today:
Went to Bugis with Grace to pick out more christmas gifts. She and Daniel korkor picked out something for Aunt Joanne and her dad (after a long while) =) Had macs for dinner before Grace and I headed to look for my handbags. I had a hard time deciding which one I wanted. They were both Carlo Rino but one is black which had 20% and the other is a fairytale collection bag and wallet set which had no discount. But I finally picked the black one cos the fairytale collection one had this ribbon which felt uncomfortable if I were to carry it on my shoulders. Yay~ I think I shouldn't buy anymore bags. I'ld probably invest in a Coach one in two to three years' time (when I start working) and maybe a Burberry one when I'm much older (30s?). But I won't bring my CR bag to school. It's not that big to fit all my textbooks and I don't think I should bring such brands to school (though I've seen a few LVs in school). I wanted to get the frilly top which I saw two weeks ago but it's gone now =x Haiz, I'm not fated to get that top afterall. Nvm, shall save up my christmas money for other things, like decent shoes =) Grace wanted to get some lipstick but she decided against it after a while cos there wasn't much of a difference after the application.

-----------

I bought the black CR bag cos I figured that if I wanted the other CR bag, it'll probably still be there next year =p So I could get it for my bday. So while I was at it, I thought ofa list of things I don't mind receiving next year for my bday.

I guess it might be useful to whoever's gonna get me a gift. Not sure if my parents will cos they're paying for food and such =x

Guideline to shopping for presents for yours truly =)
- Try not to spend too much on it. If you're not working full-time, a gift of not more than $20 is pretty decent =) If you're working full-time, any gift is fine as long as it's not too expensive.
- Please do not get me anything more expensive (even if you share it with others) than products of Guess/CR lines. I.e. no LV, Burberry, Tiffany&Co and other major brand names. I don't think that I can carry those labels well and I prefer those which will suit me better =)

1. Gift sets from body shop
I like the Japanese Cherry Blossom, Dreams Unlimited, Moringa scents.

2. Fragrance
Either from Body Shop (those listed scents above) or Van Cleef & Arpels' Faerie or Versace's Bright Crystal or any scent which is of similar notes to Faerie or Bright Crystal. Not too floral like Gucci's Envy Me. I've got one of it and I don't really use it so I started spraying it on my shoes =x

3. Earrings
Cos necklaces and bracelets aren't too practical for me. I've got a few necklaces but I only wear that particular one with the blue heart-shaped charm and I most probably will continue wearing it for some time. I've also have a few bracelets but I usually wear a watch so it's not too practical either. As for earrings, I'ld prefer silver, platinum or white gold type. Preferably a simple design, nothing huge or heavy. I'm fine with studs or dangling ones though studs will be more practical =)

It's the thought that counts
- Things I'ld still graciously thank you for:

1. Watches
They're kinda expensive especially if there's just a few people sharing it and it's not very practical for me. I've got one already and I hope it'll last me for a few more years before I think about getting another one.

2. Clothes
Unless you're positively confident about my style, it may not be the best choice of gift. I'm not into current trends and I prefer to wear nature colors like cream, brown, olive.

3. Handbags
I guess I won't mind but I've already got a few. I've got the Agnes B tote bag and this polka dotted one for school and at least my CR and Guess bags for weekends. I've still have an Adidas gym bag of other little bags and totes which I rarely use. So I might not use it very often even if you get me LV or something =/

I guess that should suffice since there shouldn't be too many people cos I foresee my relatives giving me ang pows instead =p Which means, more money into the bank for my future investments (i.e. housing loans, maybe car loans, education, marriage, children's education & bringing and such).
